Eight Killed Across Iraq

Light violence left eight killed and six wounded.

In Mosul, gunmen killed two policemen at a checkpoint. A bomb killed a civilian and wounded four others. A soldier was shot dead at a checkpoint.

Two policemen were killed and a third person was wounded in a blast in Hammam al-Alil.

A bomb in Samarra targeted a policeman’s home, but no casualties were reported.

Insurgents murdered a man in Iskandariya.

A detainee died before he could be transferred to a hospital in Hilla.

An I.E.D wounded a student in Tikrit.
