Iraq: 6 Killed Including Mosque Preacher

Violence claimed six lives today. Another three people were wounded.

In Mosul, a mosque preacher was gunned down. Two soldiers were killed by gunmen at a separate location. A dumped body was found.

In Kirkuk, gunmen killed a civilian and a Peshmerga fighter outside their home. A policeman was shot and wounded.

An explosives expert and a policeman were wounded as the expert tried to defuse a bomb in Baquba.

Gunmen threw grenades at the Tuz Khormato home of the provincial council’s secretary general, but no casualties were reported.
