Friday: 3 Iraqis Killed, 9 Wounded

At least three Iraqis were killed and nine more were wounded in light prayer day violence. At least one suicide bombing attack was foiled as well.

In Mosul, the body of a young man was found bearing a gunshot to the head. Gunmen killed a 16-year-old Christian boy outside his home.

The body of a 20-year-old woman was discovered shot to death near Makhmour.

A bomb blast in Imam Weis wounded three people.

In Baquba, a bomb left on bike exploded, wounding four people. Two policemen were wounded during clash between police and soldiers .

In Baghdad, a bomb in Baghdad al-Jadida left no casualties.

In Iskandariya, a suicide bomber carrying TNT in his shoes was stopped before he could carry out his plans.

Mortar shells and explosives were found hidden at a train station in Basra province. Separately, 34 suspects were detained.

Two suspects were captured in Baniera village.

Seven al-Qaeda suspects were captured in Qaya.
