At least 25 Iraqis were killed and 24 more were wounded during numerous but small attacks today. No Coalition deaths were reported. Also, the Iraqis expect a response to amendments in a contentious security agreement to come after U.S. presidential elections on Tuesday. Instead of creating a long-term partnership, some analysts believe the changes actually map out a U.S. withdrawal.
In Mosul, a roadside bomb killed two Iraqi soldiers in Intisar. A suicide car bomber wounded one policeman during an attack on a patrol in a western neighborhood. On the east side of town, a roadside bomb wounded two policemen. Gunmen wounded an Iraqi soldier and a woman during an attack on a checkpoint. These men could have been soldiers or they could have been criminals in possession of army uniforms.
