A mild winter cold has morphed, overnight, into Something Greater, which has turned me into a wheezing fever-stricken mess. Of course, going out into the storm that buffeted Northern California for the past few days couldn’t have anything to do with it. In any case — if you can’t tell from reading this — I’m Seriously Out of It, and there will be no new column today. However, check out what I was writing about on this date 11 years ago….
In view of the fact that we now know the FBI initiated an investigation of Antiwar.com in 2004 (jump to page 62), at the latest, the fears expressed in that column seem eerily prescient.

Chicken soup Mr. Raimondo. Chicken soup, then a stiff shot of tequila, some Vicks Vapo rubbed on thick, and a warm blanket. That should help. Get better bro, we need you.

Good article here at Counterpunch about Susan Rice by Andrew Levine:

Is it just me, or is she just another dull bulb reading the telepromoter, much in the same way her mentor Albright does when speaking in public? I get the feeling listening to her ramblings at the U.N. that she would make a fool of herself if she had to speak without somebody writing for her what she needs to say.

Well, I certainly hope you feel better soon. Who else will I chide? No fun coming here with no one to antagonize. For every sip of soup have a glass of wine; works for me?
Good grief Justin, even cavemen knew to stay dry and warm in wet weather :)
