How can somebody who spent several years as a child in Indonesia, of which he constantly reminds us, forget that Indonesia came into existence through a revolution, or war of independence, against the Dutch colonial power which returned after the collapse of the Japanese occupation? Is he saying that countries which acquired independence peacefully have some moral authority that colonies forced to fight for independence &#039;surrendered&#039;? If so, Canada would have the moral authority that the United States lacks. </description>
