Bombs Rattle Iraq: 6 Killed, 29 Wounded

Although most of today’s attacks were small, one bombing in Mosul left over 20 people dead or injured. In Baghdad, a brigadier general was assassinated. Overall, at least six Iraqis were killed and 34 more were wounded.

A roadside bomb blast in Mosul killed two police officers and one bystander. Nineteen others were wounded in the bombing. Three people were wounded in an explosion west of the city.

In Baghdad, a senior military official was shot dead. A blast wounded two people in the Bayaa district. Gunmen in Doura wounded a man driving a car for the health department. A blast in a Mashtal garage killed one person and wounded six people.

In Saidiya, a woman’s body was found.

A civilian was wounded in Ramadi, when a bomb attached to his car exploded.

Gunmen wounded an army captain in Suwayra.

An Asayesh agent was severely wounded in a drive-by shooting in Kirkuk.
